Dr. Bernadette Sherman, DNP, FNP-C, GS-C

Bernadette Sherman has over 10 years experience as a registered nurse. Currently, she is board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years experience treating complex health conditions in adults and geriatrics.  She has experience in hormone replacement therapy (including Bio-identical hormones) and weight management for both male and female patients. She originally graduated from University of San Diego with her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and then graduated from University of Pittsburgh with her Doctorate in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner. Recently, she obtained her Gerontologist Specialist Certification.
 
In her current practice, Dr. Sherman manages acute and chronic medical conditions in nursing home residents and provides hormone replacement therapy, weight loss management and orthopedic care.  she works part-time as a clinical adjunct faculty for Carlow and Duquesne University nursing programs. In addition, Dr. Sherman has competed in Figure/Bikini competitions and obtained her Pro-card in the WNBF organization in Figure, however is now retired from competing. She is also a mother of four children. These experiences allow her to provide compassionate, holistic approach as a provider.
